Informative sessions on energy

Red Eléctrica contributes to the dissemination of knowledge regarding the functioning of the electricity system by encouraging participation in conferences and training/informative sessions.

Red Eléctrica took part in the “Spanish Companies: Leading the Future” Summit, organized by the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organisations (CEOE) and held online between 15 and 25 June 2020. It was a meeting of major companies to debate ideas for rebuilding the Spanish economy in view of the effect that COVID-19 has had on the market.

During her speech at the table of System Operators, the chairwoman Beatriz Corredor stressed the company’s vision as a global operator providing essential services such as the security of the electricity supply and connectivity of telecommunications networks. She affirmed the importance of promoting energy transition as a cross-cutting axis of the new model, aligned with the strategies of the recovery plan defined by the European Commission and with the targets established in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), and the need to continue pushing the decarbonisation of the economy forward both as a company and as responsible citizens.
