Red Eléctrica is committed to the local communities where its facilities are located by collaborating on actions that contribute to improving the well-being of people and their municipalities, and through support for the protection of basic needs, promotion of sport and healthy habits and the preservation of their culture.

Red Eléctrica contributed in 2017 with Escatrón Town Council to the project for renovating and improving accessibility to the town's sports centre, in the province of Zaragoza.

Restoration of the building consisted of constructing a new waterproofed flat roof to prevent water leaks, as well as installing new accessible toilets with a separate entrance from the court, so facilitating use of the complex by people with disabilities.

The town of Escatrón has significant cultural and natural heritage, tightly linked to the river alongside which it stands and its use for agriculture and energy.
