The Atlas establishes the distribution range, the abundance and the evolution of the population of all breeding birds in Spain. That is, it sets the essential parameters to determine the conservation status of all taxa nationwide and guides the work and priorities for its conservation.
This information is available for 4135 UTM grid cells (10 x 10 km), of the 5,600 that make up the territory.
