2nd Edition of the 'Practica+' programme
Red Eléctrica announces 50 new internships for young graduates
The period for sending the application will be open from 1 to 8 September on the Fundación SEPI website. The number of internships offered has increased by 25% compared to 2012

Red Eléctrica de España has launched new internships to boost the practical training of 50 young graduates from different areas. From 1 to 8 September, the guidelines and requirements of the internship offer can be consulted on the Fundación SEPI website.

The success achieved in the 2012 edition of this initiative, has led the Company to repeat the experience and increase the number of internships offered by 25%, demonstrating the consolidation of Red Eléctrica’s interest in boosting the training of talented young individuals.

Those selected in this second edition of the 'Practica+' programme will be incorporated into the various offices and areas of the Company on 14 October. Similarly, they will receive a financial award and will have a tutor who will accompany them, on a personalised basis, during the nine-month period of this internship training.

During this period, the interns will gain a more in depth knowledge not only about the functions carried out by the sole transmission agent and operator of the electricity system, but also about the work performed by the different departments and areas of one of the most stable listed companies in the country and the resources it counts on.

Training of 14 new specialists in system operation
In addition, Red Eléctrica de España will incorporate 14 new interns who will be trained for eight months as electricity control centre operators in the Red Eléctrica Corporate School (ECRE) in Tres Cantos (Madrid).

This operator training programme, which starts on 16 September and that ran its sixth edition in 2013, is developed in collaboration with the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenierías de la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI) and has a postgraduate course for which it grants the degree of 'Specialist in the operation of electricity systems'.

During this period, the interns will also receive a financial award and will receive theoretical and practical training on the functioning and operation of electricity systems, and will be able to practice and gain a more in-depth knowledge through a replica of the Electricity Control Centre that the Company has in the ECRE.

This initiative, once again, falls within the framework of commitments Red Eléctrica maintains as a socially responsible company. Therefore, by the end of 2013 the Company will have incorporated a total of 64 new interns at their work centres, with the goal to assist them in their specialization and to allow them to apply their knowledge and gain hands-on experience.
