We are a global operator of essential infrastructure
José Folgado Chairman of Red Eléctrica de España and Miguel Carballeda, President of the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) have today signed a collaboration agreement, through which Red Eléctrica will continue to support Paralympic sports to transmit to society values such as personal growth and achievement, motivation, non-discrimination and labour and social inclusion.
This collaboration is part of Red Eléctrica’s “Historias de Integración y Superación. Y tú, ¿Por qué no?”, (‘Integration and Personal Growth & Achievement Stories. And why not you?’) project, through which the Company seeks to raise awareness of values that are part of its corporate responsibility policy, and that are also part of Paralympic sports, by means of communication and dissemination initiatives carried out by Paralympic athletes in municipalities where the Company’s facilities are located.
The financial contribution of Red Eléctrica will be used to prepare the Paralympic team for the various international competitions this year, such as the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Paralympic Games or the European Athletics and Swimming Championships this summer.
This agreement is a continuation of the one already signed between both entities in 2016, before the Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games, and whereby Red Eléctrica becomes part of the group of "Collaborators of the Spanish Paralympic Team" and thus will appear as such in the different communication initiatives of the CPE.
In order to permanently create and share value, Red Eléctrica’s commitment to sustainability has among other goals that of economic and social development, respect for the environment and the promotion of progress and social wellbeing.
