Red Eléctrica is committed to the local communities where its facilities are located by collaborating on actions that contribute to improving the well-being of people and their municipalities, and through support for the protection of basic needs, promotion of sport and healthy habits and the preservation of their culture.

Red Eléctrica has been collaborating with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) since 2018 for the sustainable development of joint actions aimed at the improvement of territories’ energy efficiency and to incorporate electric mobility into everyday life.

For the purpose of presenting technical advice and giving support to local corporations on the basic requirements for implanting the necessary infrastructures to enable the integration of electric vehicles, in 2019 Red Eléctrica and the FEMP carried out several different conferences in the 10 following cities: Bilbao, Oviedo, Valencia, Seville, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Aranjuez, Zaragoza, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Presented at these conferences was the “Electric Mobility Guide for Local Entities” developed by the FEMP and Red Eléctrica, with the collaboration of the Diversification and Energy Saving Institute (IDAE).
